So that proved my point that the so called famous 'extra dot 50 sen' as categorised by Steven Tan was just a die chip and not a variety per se. There are so many out there due to some pitting of the die that created all these die chips.
Yes nu...all dots are die chip/extra metal. Since the extra metal look like a dot, the so called Steven Tan named it extra dot rather than variety. I never found in any book or internet on error term referred to extra dot and most of it referred to die chip/extra metal. Malaysia collectors love to refer Steven Tan as guideline since he has been in numismatics for so long and already published 19 books. Let it be as extra dot as variety error term in malaysia. At least something we can share with the rest of professional graders out there. Just my opinion, Nu..
