Die chip 1 sen 1998 (edge)

Die chip is common error. It happen on the obverse or reverse of the coins. Here I found 1 sen 1998 which "die chip" are on the edge of the coin. I never found any of such die chip since "die chip" by virtue will never happen on the edge. I might be right and wrong. What say you guys..?

Similar to 50 cent 1979 extra dot but slightly on the left side compared to 1979.

Error coins in Malaysia are popular with extra dot/extra metal/die chip which are very common. Quite interesting error here, there are two extra dots on the flowers and additional two die chip on the bottom '0' and '9'.

Common die chip/extra metal 

Die chip error coin happens when a part of one of the dies that strikes the coin breaks off. This broken die strikes resulting in a new raised feature (looking like a blob) on the surface of the struck coin. Die chip errors are reasonably common and not really fetch premium unless the error is obvious.
